Chito Miranda and Neri Naig Sex Video Scandal

When I woke up Saturday August 3rd 2013, I checked Twitter and saw my timeline filled with people talking about what might be the biggest celebrity scandal of the year. Unless you have been living under the rock, you surely have heard or seen the Chito Miranda and Neri Naig sex video scandal. The video spread like wildfire through Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, porn sites, forums, chat rooms, etc. Netizens expressed their disgust at the actions of these two accusing them of being immoral and perverts.

Why do couples video tape themselves while having sex?

-to enhance their performance

-they prefer watching themselves than porn

– to spice up their sex life

– to fulfill a fantasy

– they do it for fun

We all have our unique ways of expressing sexual intimacy.  Making a sex tape is a subtle art. It can add more sensory pleasures to the experience. Filming can feel good but it’s not for everyone. If it’s not your cup of tea, don’t force it. Before you jump to it, here are some things to consider:

1. Make sure that’s what you and your partner want.  It should only proceed with the consent of both partners.

2. Use a small, light weight camera.

3. Make sure the lighting is good.

4. Make sure only one copy exists.

5. Don’t store it on your computer. Use a USB flash with integrated program that has password.

Chito and Neri’s video was meant to be private. People should not judge them harshly. I don’t personally know Neri Naig, but I had the opportunity to work with Chito Miranda and his band (Parokya ni Edgar) during our North American Tour (Feb 2013) with the Mocha Girls.  I’ve seen Chito perform and every song he sings is coming straight out of his heart. He cares about his fans/audience enough to give a great performance. Chito and Parokya ni Edgar are living legends. They have been around for more than two decades and contributed so much in Philippine music. It’s not easy to get over this (large) bump in the road. It’s going to take a strong will and I admire how Chito handled this crisis.

Museum of Sex (NYC)

I would like to thank the NYPD for allowing to go topless in Time Square! I love NYC!

I would like to thank NYPD for allowing to go topless in Time Square! I love NYC!

Yes, there’s such a thing as a Museum of Sex. It is located on the fifth avenue near the Empire State Building in New York City. Visiting MoSex (Museum of Sex) was one of the highlights of my trip to the US with the Mocha Girls. This is the second time the group has toured North America – 8 states, 14 cities and 28 shows in 6 weeks. It was my first time in NYC and I fell in love instantly. The architecture, the hustle and bustle, the sound of sirens, the people, the culture and the subway.

I was so excited to go to MoSex because I wanted to see the early vibrators. I wasn’t disappointed. I saw not just one but three vibrators! I was so overwhelmed and amazed when I finally got to see personally the famous vintage vibrators that I only get to read on the net and magazines. MoSex opened on October 5, 2002.

According to the founder Daniel Gluck, the official mission of the Museum of Sex is “to preserve and present the history, evolution, and cultural significance of human sexuality.” This three-storey building houses sex toys, sexuality books, souvenirs and collectors items on the first floor. On the second floor, this is where the most interesting part of the museum is. Why? Because this is where you get to know about the history of sex. See it, touch it and feel the life-size mannequins. I was so mesmerized that when I touched those mannequins it felt just like the real thing! The boobs, the penis, the G-spot (would you believe it?) seems like the actual thing! On the third floor, I saw art works and exhibits on same-sex and animal behavior.

I advise everyone to come and visit Museum of Sex or any sex store/shop. Coming to a place like this will really enlighten you and liberate you regarding the importance of sexuality. It can open your eyes to a wide variety of things you never knew ever existed.

Thanks to Jim O’Shea (manager) for giving me an all-access pass to the Museum of Sex!

Toys for the Big Girls

Vibrators are for educated, responsible and horny women (like me). These “massagers” have been around a lot longer than we think. The first vibrator was invented in the late 1800’s and was used to treat women with medical condition called “hysteria”. Vibrators have come a long way since then. Today they come in different colors, shapes and sizes. Studies show that vibrator use is associated with more positive sexual function. Here are the important benefits of using a vibrator:

1. Helps a woman discover her hot spots/erogenous zones
2. Helps a woman achieve orgasm
3. Boosts sexual confidence
4. Promotes lubrication in the vagina thus decreasing chance of cervical infections.
5. Relieves stress (endorphins released during orgasm)
6. Natural cure for insomnia (serotonin & oxytocin released after climax)
7. Decreased chance of contracting STDs
8. Lowers the risk of teenage pregnancy

The list goes on. Vibrators/toys bring back the fun in the bedroom. Of course, vibrators will never replace the real thing. Men should not be intimidated by them. The purpose of vibrators is to allow women to discover their body and explore their sexuality. This will enable her to enjoy sex more. Enjoyable sex for women means more sex for men.

Open Condom Style

By now, I’m pretty sure you’ve seen or heard of Gangnam Style. It has become a global phenomenon and everyone jumped on the bandwagon including the MOCHA GIRLS (GANGNAM STYLE VIDEO). Ever since Gangnam Style conquered the net, people still kept mishearing the lyrics Oppa Gangnam Style to Open Condom Style. Since I love condoms, I decided to make a sexy parody ad – Open Condom Style with the Mocha Girls. The video is now 4th most popular on youtube reaching 130K views in 2 days. Some people loved it they thought it was fun and sexy. Some people hated it and accused me of promoting sex.

I am not promoting sex. I am promoting SAFE SEX, especially among the youth. According to United Nation Population Fund Agency (UNPFA), the Philippines has the highest teenage pregnancy rate among 6 major ASEAN economies. Birth rates for women aged 15 -19 rose over 70 percent in just 10 years. The numbers continue to rise steadily every year. There’s also an alarming increase in HIV/AIDs cases in our country.  According to the United Nations’ Development Programme (UNDP), the Philippines is among the seven countries worldwide to have increased by 25 percent or more its HIV cases since 2001.
Just recently, a 19 year old girl tweeted me and confessed she had sex with her crush whom she barely knew. She’s worried because her period is delayed. They didn’t use protection, instead they used “withdrawal method” aka “pull-out method” or “pull and pray”. Contrary to popular belief, withdrawal method is NOT safe. It does not protect you from sexually-transmitted diseases and it’s not the best form of birth control.
A lot of teens don’t use condom because they worry about lessened sexual pleasure. They also fear that their partners will feel offended and would disapprove. We made the Open-Condom Style video to send a message to the youth that condoms are COOL. Don’t ever have sex without a condom. It’s better to protect yourself than be sorry.

Mocha Blog Comeback

Hello O-peeps! It’s been a long, long time since I’ve posted on my blog! I temporarily disabled my blog because of some of the issues my group (Mocha GIrls) and I had to face.
Our Malaysian tour was almost canceled because their government came across my blog. Thankfully, our Malaysian producers supported us and was able to convince their government to grant us permission to perform. We also experienced similar circumstance with UAE and other middle east countries.
I started this blog to educate and raise awareness about safe sex – in the Philippines. But when the Mocha Girls started touring internationally, this gave access to a much larger blog visitors. I will need to make some adjustments to make my blog friendly to international audiences.  I respect the beliefs of others and so I will do my best not to disappoint. In the meantime, to keep you entertained, here’s some hot action from the Mocha Girls:

Masturbation Month

Yup! May is Masturbation Month. Masturbation or Vit. O, a term which I constantly use on Twitter, is the act of stimulating one’s organ for the purpose of pleasure. It’s also called self-pleasure or solo sex. According to a research, babies of both sexes started masturbating in the womb. But boys are the only ones who can be caught while aroused on the sonogram. See? It’s a natural thing and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s sad that some people think masturbation is dirty. In fact, it is healthy – lowers blood pressure, stimulates production of good hormones  (endorphins), promotes well-being, strengthens immune system, alleviates menstrual cramps, natural sleep aid, etc.  Female masturbation is still taboo. Women still reluctlantly talk about it. Some women deny it. Some women think it’s a degrading act. And some women are just clueless. Importance of female masturbation:

1.explore her erogenous zones different strokes that will help her reach orgasm

3.increase libido/sexual desire -allows her to enjoy sex with her partner more -confidence in her body and sexuality

4.sexual independence

There are several techniques in female masturbation- use of hand, soft objects and sex toys. Watch out for my review on some of the coolest toys you can buy online. In the meantime, here are some photos of the Mocha Girls and me from our Boracay pictorial last week.

Summer in the Philippines has never been this hot! The highest recorded temperature in Metro Manila so far this year is 35.9 degrees Celsius, and the highest in the country is 38.4 degrees Celsius registered at Clark in Angeles, Pampanga. According to PAGASA, this isn’t even a heat wave yet! Prepare yourselves to endure the sweltering heat for at least one more month. Relief may come in during the second half of May at the earliest and it’s the wet season again!

Never the less, summers are the time to relax, to enjoy and feel light! Here’s the trailer of my upcoming indie movie entitled BUTAS 2, directed by Alejandro “Bong” Ramos, to satisfy your summer hunger! Watch out for the premiere night on May 16 at the UP Diliman Theater! Enjoy!

Here’s the unedited video of my interview on the tv show WASAK hosted by Lourd De Veyra and Jun Sabayton:
