Museum of Sex (NYC)

I would like to thank the NYPD for allowing to go topless in Time Square! I love NYC!

Yes, there’s such a thing as a Museum of Sex. It is located on the fifth avenue near the Empire State Building in New York City. Visiting MoSex (Museum of Sex) was one of the highlights of my trip to the US with the Mocha Girls. This is the second time the group has toured North America – 8 states, 14 cities and 28 shows in 6 weeks. It was my first time in NYC and I fell in love instantly. The architecture, the hustle and bustle, the sound of sirens, the people, the culture and the subway.

I was so excited to go to MoSex because I wanted to see the early vibrators. I wasn’t disappointed. I saw not just one but three vibrators! I was so overwhelmed and amazed when I finally got to see personally the famous vintage vibrators that I only get to read on the net and magazines. MoSex opened on October 5, 2002.

According to the founder Daniel Gluck, the official mission of the Museum of Sex is “to preserve and present the history, evolution, and cultural significance of human sexuality.” This three-storey building houses sex toys, sexuality books, souvenirs and collectors items on the first floor. On the second floor, this is where the most interesting part of the museum is. Why? Because this is where you get to know about the history of sex. See it, touch it and feel the life-size mannequins. I was so mesmerized that when I touched those mannequins it felt just like the real thing! The boobs, the penis, the G-spot (would you believe it?) seems like the actual thing! On the third floor, I saw art works and exhibits on same-sex and animal behavior.

I advise everyone to come and visit Museum of Sex or any sex store/shop. Coming to a place like this will really enlighten you and liberate you regarding the importance of sexuality. It can open your eyes to a wide variety of things you never knew ever existed.

Thanks to Jim O’Shea (manager) for giving me an all-access pass to the Museum of Sex!
